TackHunter, LLC was formed to provide a safe community for equestrian enthusiasts to gather in a marketplace dedicated to horse riding equipment & apparel. As a result, your privacy is something we take extremely seriously. This policy details how we use the personal information that we collect and how you can contact us with any questions or concerns.

Information We Collect

When you interact with us through the Services, we may collect Personal Data and Non-Identifiable data from you, as further described below:

Personal Data:

We may store personal data that was voluntarily provided while using TackHunter. For example: when you register for TackHunter with your email address, or register for TackHunter with a third party service (e.g. with Facebook Connect), we may store the provided email address, and profile picture. In most cases, TackHunter may require additional information, such as a username, a physical shipping address, bank account information, and/or credit card information. By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this privacy policy: (a) to our subsidiaries and affiliates; (b) to contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them; (c) to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of TackHunter's assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by TackHunter about our Website users is among the assets transferred; (d) to fulfill the purpose for which you provide it; (e) for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information; and (f) with your consent.

Non-Identifiable Data

While using TackHunter, we may receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. This infomation is collected either: (a) directly when you provide it to us; or (b) automatically as use the App. Such information, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you.

As you interact with TackHunter, we may use data collection technologies to collect certain information about your listings, browsing actions, and patterns, including: (a) details of your session on TackHunter, including traffic data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access in the App; and (b) device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number). We may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your TackHunter account.

The information we collect automatically is statistical in nature and does not include personal information. This data helps us to improve our App and deliver a more personalized service, including by enabling us to: (a) estimate our audience size and usage patterns; (b) store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our App according to your individual interests; or (c) speed up searches.

We may also employ the use of anonymous identifiers, which are random strings of characters that are used for the same purposes as cookies on platforms, including certain mobile devices, where cookie technology is not available.

We may use Web beacons or similar technology on the Services. Web beacons are small, invisible graphic images that may be used on the Service or in emails relating to the Service to collect certain personally non-identifiable information and monitor user activity on the Services, such as to count visits, understand usage effectiveness and to tell if an email has been opened and acted upon.

TackHunter may disclose your personal information: (a) to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request; (b) to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or (c) if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of TackHunter, our customers, or others. We have implemented best practices that are designed to secure your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or loss. All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers. Any payment transactions and other sensitive information will be encrypted using secure socket layer (SSL) technology. TackHunter follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once TackHunter receives it. However, no Internet, email or other electronic transmission is ever fully secure, so it is important that you take special care in deciding what information you send to us.


TackHunter does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any Personal Data through the App. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Data through the Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Data to TackHunter through the Services, please contact us, and we will delete that information from our databases.

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data.
